Black Redstart
Phoenicurus ochruros · Rabirruivo
The only resident songbird of the Berlengas. Males are black with an unmistakable red-orange tail; females are plainer. It is quite common and can be seen right across Berlenga and the Farilhões, especially on rocky outcrops, cliffs and the island's few buildings.
