Submerged & Semi-submerged Marine Caves

Low-light caves of high ecological and geological value. Despite scarce algae they are very productive, serving as fish nurseries and refuges for marine fauna, their walls often draped in gorgonians. Cova-do-Sono and the Rabo-de-asno cave are among the best-known dive sites.
