Landvogels
Common Kestrel
Falco tinnunculus · Peneireiro
A small, slender falcon with long wings and tail, brick-brown above with black spots. It hunts by a distinctive wind-hovering, hanging in the air to search the ground for prey, and is quite tolerant of people. Kestrels are present on the Berlengas throughout the year.
